Michigan’s Severe Weather Awareness Week

With Governor Rick Snyder declaring Michigan’s Severe Weather Awareness Week from April 16-22, the Michigan State Police, Emergency Management and Homeland Security Division (MSP/EMHSD) is calling upon Michigan residents to take action by participating in a voluntary statewide tornado drill at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, April 19.

Businesses, organizations, families, and individuals are encouraged to engage in this statewide preparedness activity, but are not required to do so. Nearly all state of Michigan facilities will participate.

Grand Ledge Farmers' Market Vendor Meeting

If you are a vendor who would like to participate in this year's Grand Ledge Farmers' Market at its new location at Jaycee Park, 525 E. River Street, please join us on Thursday, April 20 at 7:00 PM at the Grand Ledge Chamber office, 310 Greenwood Street, Room B-103 in City Hall to learn more about this year's market.

Should you stop or slow your car when you see someone in a wheelchair or using a walker waiting to cross a road at a crosswalk?

Elderly residents of a Grand Ledge apartment complex (Serenity Place) say they want to take the guesswork out of that question. They said they fear for their lives as they fight traffic to walk or roll across M-100 to reach a Quality Dairy store across the street from their apartment complex.
