The Chamber promotes the economic, recreational, and historical attributes of the Greater Grand Ledge area.


Being a member of the Grand Ledge Area Chamber of Commerce adds prestige to your business, solidifies your standing in the business community, and sets your business above the rest. Your Chamber membership helps you and your business gain visibility and connect with potential customers, save money on needed products and services, build a network, reach out through unique marketing opportunities, and enhance your professional skills and knowledge.  Membership also provides a sense of community and belonging to you and your staff, a feeling like you are a part of something special.

The yearly price to join the chamber and support all that we do for the community are as follows:
  • Business Membership - $250 per year    
  • Non-Profit Business Membership - $130 per year   
  • Friends of the Chamber - $85 per year (individuals)
    • Friends of the Chamber is a special membership category designed exclusively for individuals who wish to support the Grand Ledge Area Chamber of Commerce without representing a business or organization. This category is intended for:
      • Retired community members
      • Former business owners
      • Local residents who want to support Chamber initiatives
      • Individuals who want to stay connected but are not promoting or operating a business
    • To maintain fairness and consistency across all membership levels, the following policy applies:
      • Membership Classification Policy
        Any individual who owns, operates, manages, or represents a business—whether full-time, part-time, home-based, freelance, or independent—must join the Chamber under the appropriate Business or Nonprofit membership category.
    • The Friends of the Chamber membership:
      • Does not include business promotion
      • Does not include visibility in the Member Directory
      • Does not include access to business marketing or advertising benefits
      • Cannot be used by businesses or business owners as a substitute for Business Membership
        • This ensures:
          • Consistent application of member benefits
          • Fairness to all Chamber business members
          • Integrity and sustainability of the Chamber’s membership structure
    • If You Are a Business Owner
      • If you own or operate a business (including home-based or part-time businesses), please register under:
        • Business Membership – $250/year
        • Nonprofit Membership – $130/year (for qualifying organizations)
        • These levels include full access to business-related benefits, visibility, networking, and sponsorship opportunities.

Treatment of Members and Volunteers
The Grand Ledge Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors has a policy that expresses their expectations regarding how members and volunteers are to be treated. The policy states:
  • With respect to interactions with members, those applying to be members, and volunteers, the Executive Director or other board designee shall not cause or allow conditions, procedures, or decisions that are unsafe, undignified, unnecessarily intrusive, or that fail to provide appropriate confidentiality or privacy.
If a member or volunteer believes they have not been accorded a reasonable interpretation of their rights under this policy, please contact the Board President.
